LAFCOM On motion of Councilman GiLmore, <br /> seconded by Councilman Brooks and <br /> carried, Council ordered filed <br /> communication from the City of <br />Westminster suggesting Local Agency Formation Commission hold meetings <br />twice a month. <br /> <br />SOLICITATION On motion of Councilman Gilmore, <br /> seconded by Councilman Brooks and <br /> carried, Council authorized the <br /> Orange County Chapter American <br />National Red Cross to solicit funds during the mouth of March, 1966. <br /> <br />SALARY INCREASE It was moved by Councilman Gilmore, <br /> seconded by Councilman Brooks and <br /> carried, that the City Manager's <br /> report dated 2-10-66 recommending <br />salary increase for meritorious service be approved. <br /> <br />REIMBURSEMENTS <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Gilmore, <br />seconded by Councilman Brooks and <br />carried, Council approved the <br />following reimbursements: <br /> <br />Dr. Edward Hammer, 1628 W. Edinger, $726.02 for construction of street <br />pavement in excess of local street requirements. <br /> <br />King Manor & Convalescent Hospital~ 1030 W. Warner, $2,941.38 for <br />construction of street improvements on Warner in exchange for dedication <br />to ultimate width. <br /> <br />Mr. W. J. Planchon, 1624 W. Edinger, $681.75 for construction of street <br />improvements in exchange for dedication to ultimate width. <br /> <br />Viking Company, 3016-A Halladay, $3,227.20 for construction of street <br />improvements on Warner in exchange for dedication to ultimate width. <br /> <br />Ralph Crutchfield, 9628 Rose Avenue, Fountain Valley, weed abatement~ <br />$18.68. <br /> <br />BID CAT3~ It was moved by Councilman Gilmore, <br /> seconded by Councilman Brooks and <br /> carried, that Council approve <br /> request for approval of plans and <br />specifications and authority to advertise bids for: <br /> <br />Project 235 - widening of 4th Street frc~ Santa Aha Freeway to Tustin~ <br />opening date 3-15-66. <br /> <br />Project C-131 - construction of Fire Station Parking Lot at Sycamore and <br />Walnut, opening date 3-15-66. <br /> <br />Fire Alarm Cable - Item l, 12,000' secondary; Item 2, 6,O00' primary, <br />Spec. 634-16, opening date 3-7-66. <br /> <br />SURPLUS PROPERTY On motion of Councilman Gilmore, <br /> seconded by Councilman B~ooks and <br /> carried, Council ordered filed <br /> Surplus Property Report 57-65A <br />regarding 2,752 square foot parcel north of Acapulco, 130 feet east of <br />Corta Drive, declared the property surplus~ of value only to adjacent <br />owner because of size and shape, and authorized negotiated sale to adjacent <br />owner. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL - ~70 - February 21, 1966 <br /> <br /> <br />
