HEARING - Hearing continued from April 4, <br />AA 584 - L'ALLIER 1966 was opened on Amendment <br />~-~ Application 584 filed by <br /> Charles L'Allier proposing to <br />amend Sectional District Map 13-5-10 by reclassifying from the R i to <br />the R 3 district property on the north side of Highland between Shelton <br />and Bristol. Planning Commission Resolution 5773 recommended approval. <br /> <br />Mr. Albert Gottlieb, representing the applicant, described the use and <br />zoning of surrounding properties and referred to pictures of the area on <br />file. There being no further response to the Mayor's call for testimony, <br />the hearing was closed. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Gilmore, seconded by Councilman Bu~k and <br />carried, that Council approve the reclassification and instruct the <br />City Attorney to prepare an amending ordinance according to Exhibit <br />584 A. <br /> <br />HEARING - Hearing was opened on Amendment <br />AA 582 - GOT~LIEB Application 582 filed by Albert <br />· i? Gottlieb proposing to amend <br /> Sectional District Map 13-5-10 <br />by reclassifying from the R i to the R 3 district property on the south <br />side of Cubbon between Brook an~ McFadden. Planning Commission Resolution <br />5775 recommended denial. The Clerk reported notice of the hearing was <br />published in The Register, with affidavit of publication on file, and <br />that no communications had been received. <br /> <br />The applicant stated the property was not feasible for R i development, <br />presenting an assessment list of properties in the area~ and citing a <br />recent R 3 approval 65' frc~ his lot. The Planning Director commented <br />on C°mmission policy to change to higher density in this area from central <br />core outward but only where there is unanimity in neighborhood. There <br />being no further response to the Mayor's call for testimony, the hearing <br />was closed. It was moved by Councilman Herrin, seconded by Councilman <br />McMichael, that Council deny the reclassification. The motion carried <br />with Councilman Bu~k voting No. <br /> <br />HEARING - Hearing was opened on Amendment <br />AA 583 - PLANNING Application 583 initiated by the <br />COMMISSION Planning Ccm~ission proposing to <br />.!~ amend Sectional District Map <br />23-5-10 by reclassifying from the R i and R 2 districts to the C 5 and <br />R i B districts property on the west side of Bristol, north of St. Andrews <br />Place. The Clerk reported that notice of the hearing was published in <br />The Register, with affidavit of publication on file and that no <br />communications had been received. There being no response to the Mayor's <br />call for testimony, the hearing was closed. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Herrin, seconded by Councilman Burk and <br />carried, that Council approve the reclassification and instruct the City <br />Attorney to prepare an amending ordinance according to Exhibit 583 A. <br /> <br />HEARING - Hearing was opened on Amendment <br />AA585 - STATON Application 585 filed by Chloe <br />'~ Staton proposing to amend <br /> Sectional District Map 16-5-10 <br />by reclassifying from the C i to the C 2 district property on south ~de <br />of Bolsa between Harbor and Newhope. Planning Cnmmtssion Resolution 5774 <br />recommended approval. The Clerk reported notice of the hearing was <br />published in The Register, with affidavit of publication on file and no <br />co~unications had been received. <br /> <br />Mr. Hugh Staton, represented the applicant. Mr. Del Michael, representing <br />Southwest Homeowners Association spoke in favor of the application.
