Application on Notice of hearing on certificate of public convenience <br />and necessity to construct and operate additional transmitters for Radio <br />Station KME - 438. <br /> <br />VARIANCE & CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS - <br />Decisions made by the Zoning Administrator or Planning Commission where no <br />appeal has been filed~ for affirmation of Council: <br /> <br />V.A. 66-19, Trochman - construct two single family dwellings on R 2 lot <br />containing two existing dwellings at 3521 W. llth in R 2 district - APPVD. <br />V.A. 66-20, Humble Oil - construct and operate a gasoline service station <br />in R i district at 2701 Glassell - APPVD. <br />V.A. 66-21~ Tubbs - construct l0 story office building with less than required <br />setbacks and to waive 15' landscaping strip in C I district at 431 N. Tustin - <br />APPVD. <br />CUP 66-2, First Evangelical United Brethren - expand existing church facility <br />in R i district at 2121 N. Grand - APPROVED. <br />CUP 66-3, Foster & Kleiser - construct billboard in C i district at 2409 W. <br />Edinger - DENIED. <br /> <br />DIV. OF HIGHWAYS - <br />Communication regarding public hearings prior to adoption of State Highway <br />routes. <br /> <br />LEGISLATIVE BULLETIN - <br />League of California Cities bulletin regarding legislation now before the <br /> <br />State Legislature. <br />WATER BONDS <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Gilmore, <br />seconded by Councilman Markel and <br />carried, ordered filed letter <br />from Central Basin Municipal Water <br />District and instructed the City Attorney to prepare resolution endorsing <br />proposed $850,000,000 Water Bond Issue of the Metropolitan Water District <br />of Southern California. <br /> <br />AMBULANCE SERVICE On motion of Councilman Gilmore, <br /> seconded by Councilman Herrin <br /> and carried, Council ordered filed <br /> Orange County League of Cities <br />Committee Report on ambulance service, noting they were in substantial <br />agreement with the Committee recomm~endation. <br /> <br />CIT~ATTORNEY RESIGNATION On motion of Councilman Markel, <br /> seconded by Councilman Herrin <br /> and carried, Council accepted letter <br /> of resignation of City Attorney John <br />K. Colwell, effective Jane 30, 1966, and expressed good wishes and appreciation <br />for his long years of service. <br /> <br />RECESS <br /> <br />At 3:35 p.m., a 10 minute recess <br />was declared.
