Following the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag~ the Invocation was deli~vered by Captain Tom <br />Cisar~ The Salvation Army. <br /> <br />MAYWOOD ST~nEET VACATION Hearing was announced on proposed <br /> vacation of portion of Maywood <br /> Avenue, east of Yale Street, <br /> continued from~ 6-20-66. On motion. <br />of Councilman Herrin, seconded by Councilman Brooks and Qarried, the hearing <br />was continued to July 18, 1966~ in the Council Chamber, 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />FAIRHAVEN STREET VACATION Nearing was announced on proposed <br />RES~ 66~100 vacation of two feet of street on <br /> south side of Fairhaven, east of <br /> Glassell. The Clerk reported that <br />notice of the hearing was published in The Register~ June ll, 1966, was posted <br />in the area June 23, 1966, evidence thereto on file; and no written c~maunications <br />received~ There being no response to the Mayor's call for testimony, the <br />hearing was closed. <br /> <br />R~OLUTION 66-100 ORDERING THE VACATION OF RIGHT OF WAY GN THE SOUTH SIDE OF <br />FAIRHAVEN AVENUE~. EAST .OF GLASSELL STREET was read by title. It was moved by <br />Councilman Brooks, seconded by Councilman Burk, that further reading be waived <br />and Resolution 667100 be adopted. The Clerk reported that notice of-hearing was published <br />in The Register June 18~ 1966 with affidavit of publication on file and no <br />written commaunications received. There being no response to the Mayor's call <br />for testimony~ the hearing was closed. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman McMichael~ seconded by Councilman Markel and carried, <br />that Council approve the reclassification and instruct the City Attorney to <br />prepare an amending ordinance according to E~hibit A. <br /> <br />HEARING - Hearing was opened on Amendment <br />AA 592, DAVIS Application 592, filed by Arthur <br /> Davis, proposing the amendment of <br /> Sectional District Map 17~5-9 <br />by reclassifying, from the R i to the M i district~ property on the east side <br />of Grand between Chestnut and Regent° Planning Cummission Reselution 5782 <br />recommende~ approval.
