PLAVAH CONDEMNATION <br />Thomas E. Heffernan, attorney <br />representing Pleven, et al, in a <br />condemnation action regarding <br />Fairview Street, requested consideration of an offer to settle in excess <br />of that agreed to by the Administrative Staff. The Manager reported the <br />Staff was following the same policy for participating in street improve- <br />ments on major streets as had been followed with all other owners or <br />developers. <br />Following a lengthy discussion of the many problems encountered when <br />attempting to arrive at a fair price, motion was made by Councilman Bark, <br />seconded by Councilman Brooks and carried, that the Public {corks Director <br />proceed .with negotiations in accordance with established policy. Council- <br />man Gilmore voted "no." <br />P SURPLUS PROPERTY REPORT On motion of Councilman Brooks, <br />seconded by Councilman Herrin and <br />carried, the City Council declared <br />surplus and authorized demolition of house on the north side of Sixth, west <br />of Olive, as identified in Surplus Property Report 31-66. <br />SALARY INCREASES On motion of Councilman Brooks, <br />seconded by Councilman Herrin and <br />carried, the City Council approved <br />salary increases for meritorious service, as listed in Manager's Report <br />dated 11/30/66. <br />ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE LICENSES The Council discussed at length <br />-_L the'new,procedure for reporting <br />on Alcoholic Beverage license <br />applications. The Manager explained that each application was being <br />investigated by various departments with a summary report from his office. <br />He assured Council he would report any departmental recommendation which <br />is different from his own. <br />On motion of Councilman McMichael, seconded by Councilman Herrin and <br />carried, the following applications were ordered filed: <br />Orange Distributing Co., <br />Sale Beer & Vine, Person <br />Traveler's Inn Hofbrau, <br />Beer, Person transfer: <br />Chat Noir$'218 E. 17th - <br />RECESS <br />c t! " ° ANNEXATION REQUEST <br />7522 Park Ave., G.G., Off <br />transfer, <br />3G4 N. Broadway - On sale <br />New On Sale Beer. <br />At 3:45 P.M., the meeting was <br />recessed for ten minutes and <br />reconvened at 3:55 P.M. <br />Speaking on a request from property <br />owners at the westerly end of <br />Silver Drive, the City Manager <br />reporzea znaz a caeca with the City of Garden Grove revealed a question <br />about the subdivision of the property and requested additional time for <br />investigation. On motion of Councilman Burk, seconded by Councilman <br />Herrin and carried, the matter was submitted to Staff for further study <br />and report at a later date. <br />CITY COUNCIL -82.
