It was moved by Councilm~n ~ark, seco~ed by Counci~,~n Herrin a~ carried, that COUncil approve the reclassification and imstr~et the City Attorney to prepare an amending ordinamce according to Exhibit Bo APPEAL 187 q~ ~ Hearing was opened ~ Appeal 187, filed VA 66-88 - ARGTROS & SCE$-LTZ by Samta Ann Planning Departme~ appeal- ing the Planning C~ssion's approval of VA 66-88, Argyros & Schultz application to comstrnct and operate a Tic Toc Market and gasolime service 'station in the R 1 District at 1230 S. Newhope and 1229 S. Earen. The Clerk reported notice of the hearing mailed to adjacent property owners on 1/2~/67, with certificate on file, and no co~au~icat ions received. The Pi~-~-E Director stated he was net appealing the C~ission's decision, but hoped for a u~iform policy on convenience markets in residential neighbor- hoods. He asked the Council to stay the action until the C~w~ssion and Coumcil can determine from the Convenience Market Study whether or not they will be all~wed in Samta Ann, amd if so, under what comditiens, or to bring the conditions of t~ts application into accord with the last tw~ approvals of convenience markets.
