Responding to Mrs. Beer's protest that a previous letter she sent to Council was not on file, the Clerk produced the file with the letter at C~uncilman Thurman's request. A discussion followed of agenda preparation and the listing of communications. On motion of Comncilman Burk, seconded by Councilman ariset and carried, the letters regardimg Council appointment to position being vacated by Councilman Davis l~ark were c=~ered file~. G1en Eatfiel~ questioned N~y~r NcMichael's suggestion that the Council conduct Personal Xnterviews in executive session begimaing at the next meeting. After research~_= the question, the City Attcraey repcrrted that nothf~E in the Government Code prohibited a private session on appointment of a public officer; that the Council might interview and consider in private session but action must be in public session. Mayor NcN/chael announced there would be an E~ecutive Sessiun on May 1 at 2:00 P.M.
