into the proposed apartment development. ~n motion of Ceuacilman Brooks, <br />seconded by CounciLman Herrin and carried, the petition was ordered filed. <br /> <br />Shammon Vandruff, President of Cinderella Real Estate, 5262 S~ Eucalyptus, <br />Yorba Linda, described the proposed development, showing architectural ren- <br />derings, and suggested one of the driveways could go into Catalina to give <br />Fire Department access with a gate or removable 4 x 4 posts. <br /> <br />Councilman Griset left the Council table because of a conflict of interest. <br /> <br />R. S. Jones, designer of the proposed project, explained the design of the <br />entire project with recreational facilities and complete nursery facilities <br />for the small children and cited The Garden Apartments as an example of <br />landlocked development. <br /> <br />The Planning Director, reporting for the staff, explained that proposed <br />development is not a part of the subdivision of land which is before the <br />Council; stated that the Planning, Public Works~ and Fire Departments all <br />feel that adequate fire access to the residential areas and elementary school <br />to the west camn©t be provided without the streets recommended. He cited the <br />subdivision regulations regarding streets in the Municipal Code, which have <br />been met by developers for some years. <br /> <br />DelBert Boyer, engineer for the developer, stated his opinion that stubbing <br />of Catalina would not violate the C~deo Councilman B~eeks expressing him- <br />self in sympathy with the developer~ stated, h~wever~ the subdivision map <br />is the only problem Council cam consider and only in accordance with the <br />subdivision law. <br /> <br />On motion of CounciLman Brooks, seconded by Councilm~u Markel~ Parcel Map <br />511 was approved subject t~ the conditions set out in the Planning Director's <br />report dated May 26, 1967, and the alley requirement waived° Om roll call veto: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />Councilmen Horrid, Brooks, Carlsom, Markel, <br />Thurman, McMichael <br /> <br />NOES: None <br /> <br />ABSEI~f: CounciLman Griset <br /> <br />Councilman Griset returned to the Council table. <br /> <br />PARCEL MAP 512 % G ~ On motion of Councilman Thurman, seconded <br /> by Councilman Herria and carried, Council <br /> approved Parcel Map 512, filed by Speck~ <br />creating two lots east of Euclid and ~orth of 5th, subject to conditions in <br />Planning Director's report dated May 22, 1967. <br /> <br />ABC IX)CATIONS h ~c On motion of CounciLman Thurman, seconded <br /> ~'1~ by CouncilmanMarkel and carried, Council <br /> ordered filed letter from Lee Hall <br />regarding Alcoholic Beverage Licenses to establishments located adjacent <br />or near to existing residences.
