ABANDONED CARS Ceuncilmau Herrin said that he has had <br /> a request to ask for a discussion on <br /> the procedure that might be followed <br />on the disposing of abandoned cars that are left on private property. The <br />City Attorney stated he will check into it to see what procedures are available. <br /> <br />SIGN APPLICATION The Assistant City Manager stated that <br />MAIN ST~'.~:~' the Council adopted an ordinance on June <br /> 19th which doesn't become effective until <br />Judy 19th regarding projection of signs on Main Street, and that an appli- <br />cation had been received fr~ Mr. Agnew which would be in Violation of this <br />ordinance and which the staff felt would be contrary to the intent that the <br />Council had expressed, and on advice of the City Attorney, the application <br />was denied. <br /> <br />After sene discussion with Mr. Agnew, it was moved by Councilman Griset, <br />seco~ed by Councilman Carlson and carried, to support the decision of the <br />City Attorney and staff in denying the application; and the Planning Depart- <br />ment was instructed to bring to the Council a recommended uniform sign <br />ordinance. <br /> <br />TRAk'tiC SIGNAL Mrs. Janice Boer stated that there is <br /> a problem regarding a traffic signal at <br /> the Freeway off-ramp amd 17th Street <br />where there is a railroad blinker in front of the traffic signal. The Public <br />Works Director was instructed to look into the matter. <br /> <br />RES. 67-126 RESOLUTION 67-126 ACCEI~£ING AN INDENTURE <br />SOUTRMRN PACIFIC INDENTURE FROM TEE SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY FOR <br /> WHICH THE CITY IS PAYING A CASH CONSID- <br />ERATION OF $50.00 was rea~ by title. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Griset, seconded by Conmcilman Herrin, that the <br />resolution be adopted, waiving further reading. On roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />Councilmen Herrin, ~rooks, Carlson, Griset, Markel, Thurman, <br />NcMichael <br /> <br />NOES: None <br /> <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />RECESS At 4:35 P.M. the meeting was recessed <br /> until 7:30 P.M. at which time it was <br /> reconvened with all Councilmen present. <br />Following the pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, the. Invocation was delivered <br />by LCDR. Joe N.
