CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION A Certificate of Appreciation for service as a member of the Personnel Board was presented to Donald Hayden by Mayor McMichael. A. A. 608 Hearing was opened on an application filed CONTIN~i'AL BAKING CO. by Continental Baking Company proposing amendment of Sectional District Map l~-5-10 to reclassify property on the west side of Pacific Avenue between First and Walnut Street from the C i amd R i to the C 2 District. The Clerk reported notice of the hearing published with affidavit on file and no c~m,mications received. There being no response to the Mayor's call for testimony, the hearing was closed. It was moved by Councilman Herrin, seconded by Councilman ~rooks and carried, that the application be approved and the City Attorney instructed to prepare an ordinance to reclassify the property according to Exhibit A. APPEAL 19~ - TREVORROW Wea~ing was opened on au appeal filed VARIANCE 67-55 bY Raymond G. Trevorrow appealing Condi- tion 2 denying access to 15th Street in the Zoning Administrator's approval of Variance 67-55 for expansion of an existing parking lot and driveway to 15th Street. The clerk reported notice of the hearing mailed to adjacent property owners with certificate on file and no con~unications received. Mr. Trevorrow described proposed use of the parking by employees of the C.aliTornia Department of EmploYment for exit only by approximately 20 cars a day. Speaking in opposition were John Noreno, Lucille Frances, 1429 North English, Wendell Kessee, 1917 W. lSth, and Mrs. William O~en, 2016 W. 15th. There being no ~urther testimony, the hearing was closed. The Planning DSrector recalled that several years ago the property on 17th Street between English and College was zoned commercial amd it was determined at that time that with the participation of the l~.'ta--ing Cnmmission and Council and citizens in the area that no access would be available to' 15th Street. On motion of Co~nciiman Eerrin, second~ 'by Councilman Carlson and carried, the City Council upheld the action of .the Zoning Administrator and denied the appeal. TUSTIN ~ND 4th S.W. There being no response to the Mayor's call fo~ testimony, the hearing was closed. It was moved by Councilman Brooks, secamded by Councilman Herrin, that RESOLUTION 67-132 DECLARING THAT A MAJORITY PROTEST NAS NOT BEEN MADE AGAINST THE Amm~ATION OF TERRI~OEY DESIGNATED "~FSTIN AED F(~II~TN S.W. ANNEX NO. 1" be adopted, waiving further reading.
