MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />September 5, 1967 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 2:00 P.M. inthe Council Chambers, 217 North <br />Main Street. Roll call was answered by Councilmen Wade Herrin, Walter Brooks, <br />James E. Carlson, Lorin Griset, J. Ogden Markel, Thomas W. Thurman and Mayor <br />Tom McMlchael. Also present were City Manager Carl J. Thornton, City Attorney <br />William Mock, Director of Public Works Ronald Wolford, PlamuingDirector Van <br />Stevens, and Clerk of the Council Doris M. Brown <br /> <br />MINUTES Considering the Minutes of the Regular <br /> Meeting of August 21, 1967, Councilman <br /> M~rkel asked for an addition on Page <br />271 under POLICE SALARIES as follows: "Councilman Markel expressed appreci- <br />ation for a fine presentation." The Minutes were approved with the addition <br />requested on motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Councilman Brooks and <br />carried. <br /> <br />W~WJM 26 AND 27 On motion of Councilman Brooks, seconded <br /> by Councilman Markel and carried, Council <br /> ordered filed report of bids received for <br />construction of Wells 26 and 27 at East Res&rvoir and Pumping Station; awarded <br />contract at unit prices to Beylik Drilling; and rejected all other bids. <br /> <br />LIBRARY PERIODICALS Contract fo~ annual periodicals for <br />_~ Library, Spec. 251-102, was awarded~ <br /> to Mayfair Subscription Agency, the <br />only bidder~ on motion of Councilman Griset, seconded by Councilms~uMarkel <br />and carried. <br /> <br />MOBILE RADIOMNITS Authorization to advertise for bids <br /> for Spec. 654-11, 7 mobile radio units, <br /> solid state, for Police Department, <br />opening 9/26/67, was granted on motion of Council~-u Herrin, seconded by <br />Counc~lm~u Markel and carried. <br /> <br />WAIVE READING On motion of Councilman Brooks, seconded <br /> by Councilman Herrin and unanimously <br /> carried,, the City Council waived the <br />further reading of all resolutions and ordinances listed on the public agenda. <br /> <br />ORD. NS-89~ - A.A. 608 ORDINANCE NS-894 CHANGING DISTRICT <br />CONTINENTAL BAKING CO.
