Workshop teaches client importance of accuracy, attention to detail, and the <br />utilization of follow-up technique. Role-playing and practice exercises build self-esteem, <br />encourages clients to accent their strengths and motivates clients to become eager for successful <br />job search. <br /> <br />Making the Sale--Closing the Deal <br /> <br />Purpose: Educate the client on the entire interview process; psychology of questions asked. <br />Clients instructed in "active" interviewing and the pitfalls of passive encounters. <br /> <br />Benefits: Workshop enables the client to gain confidence, and become self-assured in answering <br />questions. Educate the client in the necessary but often unseen follow-up to employer encounters. <br />The client will take a "real" role in the interviewing questions, not only in selling to the employer <br />but also in the client's own sense of self-worth. Clients will be better prepared to meet the "peaks <br />and valleys" of job search activities. <br /> <br />Planting Seeds Workshop <br /> <br />Purpose: Require clients to physically do job search activities while in "Job Search" at the <br />Center. Encourages clients, under direct professional supervision, to motivate one another. <br />Establishes a "team" environment. Creates a coordinated enthusiasm to succeed. <br /> <br />Benefits: Workshop enables clients to see "sprouts" occur while still in-group classes. Produces <br />win/win feeling for group members as they see one another succeed. Client success is realized <br />because of pro-activity. Encourages, as if by contagion, other clients to also become active in job <br />search. <br /> <br /> <br />
