TENTATIVE TRACT MAP 6547 Tentative Tract Map 6547 filed by Buchanan, <br /> creating nine lots on the south side of <br /> St. Gertruda between the Santa Fe Railway <br />and Hathaway Street, was approved subject to conditions in the Planning Director's <br />report dated January lO, 1968, on motion of Councilman Griset, seconded by <br />Councilman Herrin and carried. <br /> <br />BOND RELEASE - TRACT 6374 Acting on the Public Works Director's <br /> report of completion of improvements in <br /> Tract 6374, Wright Street and Avalon <br />Avenue, bonds were released on motion of Councilman Herrin, seconded by Councilman <br />Brooks and carried. <br /> <br />SPECIAL PARKING The request from Lifeline Blood Bank, <br /> 205 N. Broadway, for special parking in a <br /> metered area was denied on motion of <br />Councilman Brooks, seconded by Councilman Thurman and carried. <br /> <br />SOLICITATION APPLICATIONS On motion of Councilman Herrin, seconded by <br /> Councilman Brooks and carried, the following <br /> solicitation applications were approved: <br /> <br /> Girl Scout Council of Orange County, annual cookie sale 2/8/68 - 3/23/685 <br /> and annual calendar sale, November, 1968. <br /> 0~'~' Florence Crittenton Sea Circle, ticket sale by mail, January and <br /> February, 1968. <br /> <br />AUCTION ~,~ The application of Jack H. Feldman to conduct <br /> an auction at 915 E. 4th Street on January <br /> 25th for Vista Furniture Manufacturing <br />Company was granted through the name of Phil Hanson, licensed auctioneer in <br />Santa Aha, on motion of Councilm~n Herrin, seconded by Councilman Brooks and <br />carried. <br /> <br />EA~T.~S CONTRACT (":~' ~ <br />~ A letter was presented from Orange County <br />STADi-u-MRENTAL ~ Ramblers Football Association requesting <br /> relief from the $2500 balance due the City <br />under the terms of the contract for stadium rental. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Brooks, seconded by Councilman Griset and carried, the <br />request was denied. <br /> <br />TAXI DRIVER'S APPEAL A letter was presented from Mrs. Meda <br /> Farnsworth requesting reconsideration of <br /> the denial of a taxicab operator's permit <br />for Gerald Farnsworth which was denied by City Council on November 20, 1967. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Thurman, seconded by Councilman Brooks and carried, the <br />matter was referred to staff. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL 367 January 15, 1968 <br /> <br /> <br />
