TRACT ~951 On motion of Councilman Brooks, seconded <br /> by Councilman Carlson and carried, Council <br /> accepted new subdivision agreement and <br />performance bond for Tract 4951, Flower and Talbert Avenues, filed by S. V. <br />Huneaker & Sons and released original bond filed by Yorba Investment Company. <br /> <br />STREET DEFICIENCY REPORT Council reviewed a report prepared in <br /> compliance with Section 2156 of the <br /> California Streets and Highways Code. <br />It was moved by Councilman Brooks, seconded by Councilman Herrin and <br />carried~ that the report be approved and that it be transmitted to the <br />California Division of Highways. <br /> <br />as approved at the last meeting. <br /> <br />Clark Loomis presented his objections <br />to placing a rent supplement housing <br />project in the area of Daisy and Chestnut <br /> <br />IRV~ CO~94UNITY STUDY Mayor McMichael presented proposal by <br /> University of California, Irvine, for <br /> using federal funds to plan governmental <br />structure for Irvine community area. It was moved by Councilman Herrin, <br />seconded by Councilman Carlson and carried, that Council oppose use of <br />federal funds. It was noted by Councilman Carlson that the planning idea <br />was not opposed, but there should be adequate staff, with cooperation of <br />cities to provide study without funds from federal government. <br /> <br />COMMUNITY RELATIONS Reporting om his meeting with Governor <br /> Reagan and other Mayors~ Mayor McMichael <br /> asked for staff study of his proposals <br />in written report to Council and any other suggestions by Council for <br />co~unity relations proposals. <br /> <br />It was moved byCouncilman Thurman, seconded by Councilman Herrin and carried, <br />that proposals be referred to staff for in-depth study and report back. <br /> <br />RECESS At 5:35 P.M. the meeting was recessed <br /> to 7:30 P.M., at which time it was <br /> reconvened with all Councilmen present <br />except Councit~a~Griset, who was absent. Following the Pledge of Allegiance <br />to the Flag~ $~iInvocation was delivered by Leslie F. Zimmerman of ~he <br />Goodwill ~n~ustrie.. <br /> <br />EXCHANGE STUDEI~S Mrs. H. T. Holloway, President of the <br /> Santa Aha Chapter of the American <br /> Field Service introduced Anita Ringberg, <br />Sweden; Wolf~mg Be~, Germany; Christine Raymaekers, Belgium; and vilma <br />~alakicha ~fTha~lan~.
