For neady three decades, OPEX Rapid Extraction Desks have been recognized
as the industry standard for high volume rapid extraction of incoming mail. Now
the standards have been raised much higher.

Every function of the OPEX Model 51 has been designed to deliver new levels of
speed, efficiency, flexibility and economy. Innovative technologies and
ergonomic advances permit every operator to work more productively and more
comfortably. You'll find a vadety of performance advantages. With maximum
microprocessor storage capabilities, it enables you to program a virtually
unlimited combination of jobs and operators. Setting up and running jobs is a
snap because of the optional Performance Control Center. And, with a larger
feed capacity, the Model 51 makes quick work of high volumes at transport
speeds up to 4,500 pieces per hour.

The Model 51's Thickness Prefiling Candler is the industry's most accurate
content status measuring device, ensuring all contents are removed. It takes
continuous readings of envelope construction, not just a single threshold
measurement. With measurement resolution that is accurate up to 1/10"' of a
sheet of paper, the candler successfully reads colored papers, privacy envelopes,
advertising envelopes and other formats that are problematic for optical scanning
candlers.

You also have the choice of three Activation Modes for further protection:

Content Activation cycles envelopes when our exclusive dual activation
sensors establish an empty reading through advanced density profiling.

· -) Differential Activation cycles envelopes when the unit's controls have
established that a predetermined number of documents have been removed.

Content Removal Activation cycles the envelope when the extracted
contents are passed over an extemal sensor as they are removed from the
envelope. The sensor reads an area of approximately W' across, permitting
the operator to maintain free hand movement without accidentally triggering
envelope cycling.

4
