Work includes site <br />and grading plans for new structures; <br />PS&E packages for parking lot recon- <br />struction; design of street rehabilitation <br />(Federally funded); PS&E package for <br />the construction of a new $600,000 <br />recreation facility at Thornton Park, <br />including architectural, civil, structural, <br />electrical and mechanical; drainage <br />evaluatons and recommendations; traf- <br />fic control plans on two major arterial <br />streets for street widening, rehabilita- <br />tion, and bridge construction; struc- <br />tural analysis of existing facilities; and <br />project management to identify and <br />manage specialty subconsultants. This staff is aug- <br />mented as necessary to meet the project <br />needs identified by City staff. <br /> <br />Projects have totaled over $36 million <br />in construction and include Edinger Av- <br />enue Widening, NewportAvenuelSR-55 <br />Ramp Reconfiguration, Newport Av- <br />enue Bridge at Edinger and Tustin Ranch <br />Road Bridge at Edingur. Work scope <br />consists of management of design con- <br />sultants and tracking of project cost and <br />schedule; and coordination of design and <br />right-of-way issues with City Engineer <br />and management. Respoasibilities include <br />approval of consultant invoices and <br />change orders as well as preparing City <br />Council agenda items. <br /> <br />Plan Checking <br />Services <br />City of Brea <br />City of Brea <br />1 Civic Center Plaza <br />Brea, CA 92821 <br />Philip Wray, City Engineer <br />(714) 990-7763 <br /> <br />DMJM+HARRIS was retained by <br />the City of Brea to provide plan <br />checking services for various land <br />development projects. These plans <br />typically consist of road, drainage, <br />traffic and utility improvements. <br />Special features may include retain- <br />ing walls as necessary for the <br />proposed road improvements. <br />Working as an extension of City <br />staff the DMJM+HARRIS team will <br />provide the services on a task order <br />basis. DMJM+HARRIS willreview <br />the plans at the preliminary stage, <br />65%, 90% and final stage.
