CITY OF SANTA ANA Enginee Design attd Landscaping Services Landscape-Lead B.S., Landscape Architecture; 1982 Landscape Architect Ms. Capouya has 19 years experience providing landscape design services throughout the southwest. During the past nineteen years Lynn Capouya has managed and served as Principal-in-Charge on a wide variety of projects involving Educational Landscape Services. She is also active in the WTS (Women's Transportation Service) to promote women's roles in all aspects of transportation projects. Ms. Capouya works with individual clients to meet water conservation issues through a combination of plant material selection and irrigation methods. She is also involved with the Xeriscape Foundation Steering Comnfittee for the City of Los Angeles and has authored "Garden Guides", a guide to creative gardening with limited resources. She is WBE certified with Caltrans, OCTA, City of Los Angeles and several other organizations. Los Angeles Southwest College, Los Angeles, Cali- fornia: Principal-in-Charge responsible for coordinaOng the landscape design of several facilities at this campus. Phases of the project ran concurrently over, as the project criteria and landscape designs were significantly different. Facilities included: Demolition of existing facility, which was on a fault line, Landscape replacement with recreation areas, Lecture Laboratory, Physical Educaton Facility and field services for a Technical Laboratory already under construction. Space Saver School, Santa Ami, California: This new Facility involves a model mixed-use project integrating an ex~sting Shopping Center with a School. As Principal- in-Charge, the landscape concerns involved coordinating with adjacent facilities, right-of-way improvements, a 2- story parking deck enhancement and field facilities. Design Landscape Services also includes the screening from surrounding neighbors. School Maintenance Facility, Lynwood Unified School District, Lynwood, California: As Principal-in-Charge, Lynn Capouya completed the landscape planting and in-igation design to complement the Lynwood Service Center/Warehouse for the Lynwood Unified School Dis- trict. The design was to consolidate all maintenance operations of the Dis~ct in one location. Landscape design included four (4) separate buildings that were constructed and connected to each other by walkways to accommodate forklifts, then covered by metal trellis for security. The Facility Landscape Design also includes a warehouse, shops and offices. He specializes in the preparation and implementation of traffic management plans, traffic impact studies, circulation elements, neighborhood traffic issues, and coordination between involved agencies for major public and private projects and planning, design, and construction of traffic signals, signs, markings, detour plans and ITS systems. Recent project experience includes the City of Tustin, where he provides traffic engineering support and signal design for traffic improvements; and Ramona Avenue Grade Separation for Alameda Corridor- East. Ruel del Castillo has over 34 years of surveying experience in southern California, 12 years working for the County of Orange and 21 years in private practice, and has been licensed as a Land Surveyor in California since 1975. Mr. del Castillo brings extensive experience in: project management; boundary analysis; topographic mapping; the preparation and processing of subdivision maps, ease- meuts, and annexations; calculations; construction sur- veying; condominium plans; photogrammetric control and mapping; and geodetic control, including first-order and second-order vertical and horizontal control as well as GPS control. Representative projects include SR-55/SR- 22 to SR-91 Design Surveys and Right-of-Way mapping; Barranca Parkway/Jamboree Road to Redhill Construction Surveying; and I-5/SR-55 Interchange ROW Mapping and Monumentatian.
