SOLICITATION APPLICATION The Solicitation Application of American <br /> Christian Crusade, Inc.· 11/15/68 - <br /> 1 / 1 § / 69 was approved, on motion of <br />Councilman Herrin, seconded by Councilman Markel and carried. <br /> <br />PARADE The Application for Special License to <br /> Use Public Property by the Santa Aha <br /> Jr. Chamber of Commerce, Christmas <br />Parade, 5:00 to 9:00 P. M., December 7, 1968, was approved, on motion of <br />Councilman Griset, seconded by Councilman Herrin and carried. <br /> <br />BRISTOL CHANNELIZATION Council considered report on channelization <br /> of South Bristol Street from First to Myrtle. <br /> Ron Blackwell, property owner on the east <br />side of Bristol, objected to the removal of the four parking spaces in front of <br />his business on Bristol. The Public Works Director explained that some <br />parking could be provided on V~alnut. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Brooks, seconded by Councilman Herrin and carried, <br />Council approved the recommendations in report and authorized no parking <br />zones on Bristol Street on the west side from Walnut Street to 200 feet south of <br />Chestnut Street and on the east side from 200 feet south of center line of First <br />to 200 feet south of center line of Chestnut; and authorized two-hour time limit <br />parking on the north side of Walnut Street from Bristol Street to 100 feet east. <br />It was understood that if the two-hour limit on Walnut needed to be shortened <br />after experience it would be. <br /> <br />MAIN AND 17th SIGNAL Woody Johnson complained about the <br /> short space of time the green arrow for <br /> left turning is on at signal at 17th and Main. <br />The matter was referred to staff for report. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br /> At 9:25 P. M., there being nofurther <br /> business to come before the City <br /> Council, the meeting was adjourned, <br />on motion of Councilman Herrin, seconded by Councilman Market and carried. <br /> <br />Doris M.
