Philip Simons, 12872 Woodbury Drive,~ Jo~n Jezowski; Carl Erickson, 16582 <br />Nubian; A1 Corate, 12871 Woodbury Drive. <br /> <br />The hearing was closed. <br /> <br />The Planning Director explained that the Planning staff had recommended to the <br />Planning Commission that the property be zoned all R 1, and that later the <br />applicant could request a variance on the Tustin lot; however, the applicant <br />asked for decision on the application as filed, so the Planning Commission <br />denied the application. <br /> <br />After discussion, it was moved by Councilman Brooks, seconded by Councilman <br />Griset, to approve the reclassification and instruct the City Attorney to prepare <br />an amending o'rdinance: according to EXhibit B, ~vhich 'would prezone all the <br />property to R 1. The motion was adopted on roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Herrin, Brooks, Carlson, <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />Griset, <br /> <br />Markel, Thurman, McMichael <br /> <br />TENTATIVE TRACT MAP 6530 Hearing was opened on Tentative Tract <br />c~ ~' Map 6530, filed by Land Tech Development, <br /> creating 34 R i lots and one C 5 lot on the <br />west side of Tustin south of the Garden Grove Freeway. Mike Immel spoke in <br />favor of the tract map, and Philip Simons spoke opposing it and asked if <br />developer would be able to use the C 5 lot on the tract map for commercial <br />use. Mayor McMichael explained that by the previous action on Amendment <br />Application 634, all lots would remain R 1, and if the developer wanted to <br />develop the large lot on Tustin as anything but R 1, he would have to request <br />a variance. The hearing was closed. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Brooks, seconded by Councilman Carlson, Tentative <br />Tract Map 6530 was approved subject to conditions in Planning Director'S <br />report dated October 11, 1968, and alley requirement waived, on the following <br />roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Herrin, Brooks, Carlson, Griset, Thurman, McMichael <br />Markel <br />None <br /> <br />PUBLIC PROPERTY USE ~'~ Council considered the Application for <br /> Special License to Use Public Property <br /> by Diane Robles and Helen Valenzuela to <br />preach the gospel. ·On October 2t, Council continued to this meeting so that <br />applicants could be present to furnish more information to Council. Helen <br />Valenzuela explained to Council that they would like to preach at the corner <br />of 4th and French on Saturdays from 2:00 to 4:00 P. M. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Griset, seconded by Councilman Brooks and carried, <br />the Application was approved for the location of 4th and French for a 90 day <br />period for Saturdays from 2:00 to 4:00 P.
