PUMPER FOR FIRE The City Manager explained that a pumper <br />DEPARTMENT for the Fire Department had been cut out <br /> of the Budget, but that funds would be <br />available in the mid-year Budget revision to purchase this piece of equipment. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Carlson, seconded by Councilman Brooks, Council <br />approved plans and specifications and authorized advertising for bids for the <br />equipment, opening January 7, 1969. Ogden <br />Markel, and Mayor Tom McMichael. Following the Pledge of Allegiance to <br />the Flag, the Invocation was delivered by Major Tom Cisar, of The Salvation <br />Army. <br /> <br />AWARD <br /> <br />for a rescue made in Santa Ana. <br /> <br />Fire Chief John Garthe presented an <br />award on behalf of the California State <br />Fireman's Association, to John Gonzales <br /> <br />SURPLUS PROPERTY c~ 45 Mayor McMichael announced the sale <br /> and call for bids was made for real <br /> property described in Report 29-.68, <br />consisting of a 16, 892 square foot parcel on the north side of First Street, <br />east of Bristol, with a minimum price set at $38,000.00. The Clerk <br />reported that no bids had been received. <br /> <br />After three calls with no response, it was moved by Councilman Griset, <br />seconded by Councilman Brooks and carried, that the property be withdrawn <br />from sale. <br /> <br />WARD BOUNDARIES <br />ORD.
