RESOLUTION 69-7 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />MAKING APPLICATION TO THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION <br />FOR THE DISSOLUTION OF THE ORANGE COUNTY HARBOR DISTRICT IN <br />ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 56195 OF THE <br />GOVERNMENT CODE was adopted, on motion of Councilman Griset, seconded <br />by Councilman Carlson. <br /> <br />AYES: Herrin, Brooks, Carlson, Griset, Markel, Thurman, McMiChael <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />JEROME PARK ~ ~ An oral report by the City Manager on <br /> the status of the design for the Community <br /> Center Building in Jerome Park was held <br />over to the evening meeting, on motion of Councilman Brooks, seconded by <br />Councilman Markel and carried. <br /> <br />SURPLUS BUILDING oa~{ After considering Surplus Property Report <br /> 1-69 regarding two story rooming house <br /> at 413 and 415 West 1st Street, Council <br />declared the building surplus and authorized demolition, on motion of Councilman <br />Griset, seconded by Councilman Herrin and carried. <br /> <br />SURPLUS LAND ~5 $~' On motion of Councilman Brooks, seconded <br /> by Councilman Carlson and carried, <br /> Council declared surplus, of value only <br />to adjacent owners because of size and shape, and authorized negotiated <br />sales to adjacent owners the following: <br /> <br />3,697.5 square foot parcel at 1009 West First Street (S.PR 3-69); <br />259.27 square foot parcel at 909 Logan (SPR 6-69); <br />3,785 square foot parcel at 1702 ~N. Bush (SPR 4-69); <br />3,589 square foot parcel at northeast corner of 17th and Main (SPR 5-69). <br /> <br />CENTENNIAL COMMITTEE A report requesting that a street in the <br /> new Civic Center be named "Centennial <br /> Way" was referred to the Planning <br />Commission, on motion of Councilman Thurman, seconded by Councilman <br />Herrin and carried, for study of street proposed and to make recommendations <br />of other potential streets or areas for such designation. <br /> <br />SURPLUS BOOKS c~a 4~ On motion of Councilman Griset, seconded <br /> by Councilman Herrin and carried, Council <br /> authorized the disposition of approximately <br />5, 000 surplus library books at public auction and any not sold be declared <br />scrap and sold. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />105 <br /> <br />January 20, 1969 <br /> <br /> <br />
