MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br /> OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />February 17, 1969 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 2:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers, <br />217 North Main Stree% with the following Councilmen present: Wade Herrin, <br />Walter Brooks, James:E. Carlson, Lorin Griset, J. Ogden Markel and <br />Mayor Tom McMichael. Councilman Thomas W. Thurman was absent. <br />Also present were City Manager Carl J. Thornton, City Attorney William <br />L. Mock, Director of Public Works Ronald Wolford, Director of Planning <br />Van Stevens and Clerk of the Council Maxine B. Vallery. <br /> <br />MINUTES 'On motion of Councilman Herrin, <br /> seconded by Councilman Brooks~ and <br /> carried, the Minutes of the Regular <br />Meeting of February 3, 1969, were approved as submitted. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION At 2:05 P. M., the City Council adjourned <br /> to Executive Session for approximately <br /> two hours to interview candidates for the <br /> Clerk of the Council position. The Council reconvened in the Council Chambers <br /> at 4:07 P.M. with the same Councilmen present. Mayor McMichael stated the <br /> Council had no report to make at this time. <br /> <br />SPEC. 641-151 C~ ~ ~ On motion of Councilman Brooks, seconded <br />FIRE HOSE by Councilman Herrin and cari~ied, Council <br /> ordered filed report of bids received for <br />Spec. 641-151, 2500 feet of 2 1/2" Fire Hose; awarded contract to the low <br />bidder, Wardlow Fire Equipment; and rejected all other bids. <br /> <br />BID CALLS c~ ~9 On motion of Councilman Brooks, seconded <br /> by Councilmmu Griset and carried, Council <br /> approved plans and specifications and <br />authorized advertising for bids for the following: <br /> <br />PROJECT 6003; Construction of Center Street from 650 feet south of <br />Monta Vista to Monta Vista, and Monta Vista from 330 feet west of <br />Center to Center and PROJECT 2015; construction of Grand (east side) <br />from Dyer Road to 645 feet north of Dyer Road; opening March 11. <br /> <br />SPEC. 641-152, High Pressure Sewer Cleaner, opening March 11. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />125 <br /> <br />February 17, 1969 <br /> <br /> <br />
