MINU'I-.:S OF THE P, EGULAR MEETING <br />OF '1'1-1~ CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />July 22, 1969 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 2:00 P. M. · in the Council Chambers of <br />the City Hall· 217 North Main Street, with the following Councilmen present: <br />J. Ogden Markel· Thomas W. Thurman, Ray Villa, and Mayor Lorin Griset. <br />Councilmen Wade Herrin, Walter Brooks, and Jerry M. Patterson were <br />absent· but Councilmen Herrin and Patterson arrived later in the meeting. <br />Also present were City Manager Carl J. Thornton, City Attorney William L. <br />Mock· Director of Public Works Honald Wolford· Director of Planning <br />Van Stevens· and Clerk of the Council Florence I. Malone. <br /> <br />MINUTES On motion of Councilman Thurman, <br /> seconded by Councilman Villa and un- <br /> animously carried, the Minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting of July 7· 1969 were approved as submitted. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION At 2:05 P. M. · the City Council adjourned <br /> to Executive Session for approximately one- <br /> half hour to consider appointments to the <br />Citizen-Government Advisory Committee for Traffic Safety. The Council <br />reconvened in the Council Chambers at 2:30 P. M., with the same Council <br />members present. <br /> <br />Councilman Herrin had arrived at the meeting at 2:05 P.M. <br /> <br />BID CALLS On motion of Councilman Herrin, sec- <br /> onded by Councilman ~Markel and carried, <br /> plans and specifications were approved <br />and advertising for bids was authorized for Project 6011, He-Letter Stadium <br />Seats· openlng August 12· 1969. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Herrin· seconded by Councilman Villa and carried, <br />plans and specifications were approved and advertising for bids was au- <br />thorized for Project 6010, Furnish and Deliver Portable Comfort Station, <br />opening August 120 1969. <br /> <br />READING WAIVED The full reading of ordinances and <br /> resolutions, the titles of which appeared <br /> on the public Agenda, was waived, on <br />motion of Councilman Herrin· seconded by Councilman Villa and unanimously <br />carried. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />-273- <br /> <br />July 22, 1969 <br /> <br /> <br />
