RIBBON CUTTING Councilman Markel, on behalf of the <br /> South Main Improvement Association, <br /> announced that the ribbon cutting cere- <br />mony for the new Safeway Store at Main and McFadden would be held at 1~:~ <br />on October 7 and invited the Council to attend. <br /> <br />RESIGNATION On motion of Councilman Marke~, <br />PERSONNEL BOARD by Councilman Herrin and unardmo~$1y <br /> carried, the resignation of Williax~ <br />from the Personnel Board was accepted with regret and the Clerk Was directed to <br />extend an expression of appreciation to Mr. Wenke. <br /> <br />Mayor Griset announced that an Executive Session would be held at the October <br />c~,mo{~ me~'~g to consider a replacement for Mr. Wenke on the Personnel Boar.~ $ <br /> <br />LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES <br />CONFERENCE <br /> <br />Spptember 28 through October 1. <br /> <br />Councilman Markel reported on his <br />attendance at the League of California <br />Cities Conference in San Francisco <br /> <br />COMMUNITY SERVICE Councilman Villa suggested that the <br />CENTER Council might g~ve some thou~Irt tO <br /> possible future uses o£ the church <br />building when the new City Hall has been completed.
