LOS ANGELES BOARD OF Copy of Resolution adopted by theBoard <br />SUPERVISORS' RESOLUTION of Supervisors, County of Los Angeles, <br /> regarding petition to intervene in suit <br />against automobile manufacturers was referred to the City Attorney for repor~ <br />at the October 20 Council meeting, on motion of Councilman Herrin, seconded <br />by Councilman Patterson and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />TASC RESOLUTION Copy of letter and re solution adopted by <br /> Transportation Association of Southern <br /> California, recommending revising and <br />decreasing the excessive procedures and controls developed for the TOPICS <br />Program was referred to the City Attorney and Staff for recommendation, on <br />motion of Councilman Herrin, seconded by Councilman Markel and unanimously <br />carried. <br /> <br /> WESTMINSTER RESOLUTION Council considered the resolution adopted <br /> by the City of Westminster urging <br /> President, Congress and courts to take <br />· active steps to assure the American people freedom of religion and the basic <br />right to express a belief in God. On motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by <br />Councilman Herrin and unanimously carried, the City Attorney was directed to <br />prepare a similar resolution for adoption on October 20. <br /> <br /> CHRISTMAS STREET The request from the South Main <br />' DECORATIONS Improvement Association for permission <br /> to attach Christmas decorations on the <br /> light'standards on South Main Street was referred to Staff for study and recom- <br /> mendation~ on motion of Councilman Herrin, seconded by Councilman Villa and <br /> unanimously carried. <br /> <br />REFUND REQUEST <br /> <br />assessment fee. <br /> <br />Council considered the request from H. L. <br />Gutsch & Associates for refund for alleged <br />overpayment to the City for drainage <br /> <br />Following discussion, it was moved by Councilman Markel, seconded by <br />Councilman Herrin and unanimously carried to refund a drainage fee overpayment <br />~ the amount of $1, 9~92.9B paid'by H. L.
