• WIA Coordinator -(to be hired) Will be responsible for the overall coordination of <br />WIA program services and components. Will coordinate OCCC staff involvement to <br />ensure program/contract compliance and delivery of program services; Will have <br />several years experience working with at -risk youth with case management training <br />or related experiences. <br />• Project Crew Supervisor(s)-(selected from current staff) Will be responsible for <br />daily program supervision, monitoring, and oversight. Typically, the OCCC Crew <br />Supervisor is required to have two or more years of experience in field project work, <br />have experience in managing a crew -based structure, and have experience working <br />with at -risk youth and young adults. Specific job related skills such as construction, <br />landscaping, etc., class B driver's license and two years of college course work are <br />preferred but not required. <br />Facilities <br />From where will program services be delivered? <br />How has the organization assured that the location is a safe and youth friendly <br />environment? <br />The OCCC WIA Coordinator will have overall responsibility for ensuring that project <br />locations are safe and youth friendly. <br />Program services will be delivered from a variety of locations. OCCC will deliver <br />outreach, recruitment, administrative, and educational services at its main office in <br />Anaheim. Additional outreach and recruitment will be delivered at the WORK Center, <br />TSJ, and other youth service provider locations. Each individual organization will be <br />responsible for ensuring their location is safe and youth friendly. <br />Park projects will be completed in 34 parks in Santa Ana. City park personnel and <br />OCCC Crew Supervisors are responsible for ensuring the safety of park projects. <br />Internships will be provided at various employer locations. The OCCC WIA Coordinator <br />will make site visits to ensure locations are safe and youth friendly. <br />Construction and housing rehabilitation projects will also be provided at various project <br />sites. OCCC Crew Supervisors will have the responsibility to ensure project sites are <br />safe and youth friendly. <br />About Your Organization <br />Description of the Proposer <br />How long has your organization been in Santa Ana? <br />The OCCC has been serving Santa Ana youth for six years. For the last two years the <br />OCCC has operated a satellite office in Santa Ana and has provided at least two project <br />crews each year to the city to complete work assignments in Santa Ana. These projects <br />have primarily been identified and coordinated through the Santa Ana Parks <br />Department. Santa Ana youth currently comprise 25% of the total youth hired by the <br />OCCC for FY 2001/02. <br />21 <br />
