stipend increases up to a maximum of $9.50 per hour over their tenure of OCCC
program participation.
Accessibility, i.e., transportation to and from a job and/or employment training program,
is often a major barrier to successful employment for at -risk young adults. As a
supportive service, Corpsmembers in need of transportation to the classroom and/or
on -site training facilities will receive bus passes. WIB funds will be used to provide bus
passes for those in need of transportation.
To insure comprehension of classroom and on -site training, and successful program
completion, Corpsmembers will receive weekly informal evaluations leading to monthly
formal evaluations. Corpsmembers may earn monthly stipend raises of $.05 to $.25 per
hour based on merit and work performance. They will also receive special recognition
and a weekly bonus for attendance and punctuality, uniform appearance, and attitude
and participation on the job and in the classroom. All Corpsmembers will be expected to
maintain a satisfactory level of performance and attendance to remain in the program.
Please see attached breakdown of proposed Program Personnel Expenses and
Operating Expenses.
27
