ASSESSMENT The Mayor recognized Joe Gilmaker, 308 West <br />DISTRICT 236 ~th Street, who asked questioms regarding <br /> the pla~ amd costs for Assessment District <br />236, statimg that he had bees u~able to attend the afternoon meet- <br />img. Mr. Gilmaker was imformed that Staff would be pleased to <br />review the plams with him amd amswer amy questions he might have; <br />and that the public hearing on the Assessment District would be <br />held om January ~, 1970. <br /> <br />VA 69-73 Fred Hartmaa, President of the Segerstrom <br />SHERMAN, INGRARAM Republic Homeowners' Association, speak- <br /> img for the Association, requested Council <br />to reconsider its action of the afternoon, affir~i~ the Pla~mi~ <br />Ccezaission's approval of Variamce Application 69-73, to construct <br />a 200 amir mobile ho~e park ia the M 1 District at 18OO West <br />Segerstr~a Avemue. Mr. Hart~an said his Association opposes the <br />pla~s for the trailer deVelopment because it did not conform to <br />the high standards of develol~aeat of the area; that appareat]~r <br />misumderstamdings had arises between the developer's re~res~enta- <br />rive amd the homeowner's association as to proposed meetim~s amd <br />cc~au~icatiom~ as a result of which the association's protest was <br />not co,pie%ed. Mr. Rartmaa asked that the Coumcil reconsider its <br />action amd set the matter for public hearimg. <br /> <br />After discussion, oa motion of Cou~cilmam Villa, seconded By <br />Coumcilmam Patterson, the City Council recouidered its action <br />takes at the afternoon meeting, "to adopt the fimdimgs of fact, <br />coaclu~ioms amd decisiom of the Planning C~issiom as action of <br />the City Council" in regard to Variance Application 69-73~ filed <br />by Joseph Sherman amd Peter Imgraham, to construct a 200 umit <br />mobile h~ae park in the M 1 District at 1800 West Segerstrom <br />Avemue, aPProved by the Pla~mimg Cc~mission. The motion was <br />adopted by roll call vote as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br /> <br />Herrim, Rrooks, Evans, Markel, Pattersom, <br />Villa, Griset <br />None <br />Nome <br /> <br />Om motion of Cou~cilmam Herrim, secomded by Coumcilmam Patterson amd <br />u~aaimously carried, the City Council set the matter for public hear- <br />img om December 1, 1~69, at 7:30 P.M., ia the Coumcil Chamber, City <br />Hall Ampex, ~0OWest Sixth Street, Samta Ama. <br /> <br />CROSSING GUARD Mayor recognized Jotua Fueates, who requested <br />REQUEST that the City replace the Roosevelt School <br /> crossing guard removed last year from First <br />amd Oramge, explai~img that the Traffic Safety Committee to date had <br />made mo reports om a study of the imterseotiom this fall amd that <br />Because the school is om double sessioms with peak traffic hours at <br />7:BO A.M. amd 4:15 P.M., coincidimg with arrival amd dismissal times, <br />the crossing guard is meeded. <br /> <br />Om motiom of Coumcilaan Villa, secomded by Coumcilma~ Patterson amd <br />u~amimously carried, Staff was directed to imitiate a study of the <br />imtersectiom amd report Back as quickly as possible to Coumcil on <br />whether a crossing guard is meeded. <br /> <br />c0 sc <br /> <br />November 17, 1969 <br /> <br /> <br />
