9.3 <br /> <br />Longevity Vacation. <br /> <br />In addition to regular vacation, each employee is granted longevity vacation with pay <br />for each completed year of full-time, continuous City service as set forth in the <br />following table. <br /> <br />Completed Additional <br /> <br />Years Days <br /> <br />Hourly Equivalent of <br />Additional Days <br /> <br /> 6 ½ 4 <br /> 7 I 8 <br />8 1 ½ 12 <br />9 2 16 <br />10 2 ½ 20 <br />11 3 24 <br />12 3 ½ 28 <br />13 4 32 <br />14 4 ½ 36 <br />15 5 40 <br />16 6 48 <br />17 7 56 <br />18 8 64 <br />19 9 72 <br />20 10 80 <br /> <br />No employee becomes eligible for longevity vacation until completion of the sixth <br />(6th) year of continuous service, and each employee continues to earn the maximum <br />often (10) working days (80 hours) of longevity vacation for each completed year of <br />service in excess of twenty (20) years. <br /> <br />A period of earlier service does not apply toward longevity vacation accumulation <br />when an employee has had a break in continuous service, unless the break in service <br />is concluded by reappointment, as provided in Section 9-114 of the Civil Service <br />Rules and Regulations, or by reemployment from layoff within two (2) years. <br /> <br />Leave of absence without pay, as provided in Article X, Section 10.1E (Sick Leave - <br />Extended) and Section 10.8 (Authorized Absence Without Pay - Long Term) herein, <br />does not constitute a break in continuous service as used in this section; however, the <br />leave of absence period shall not be applied toward the accumulation of longevity <br />vacation. Absence on military leave followed by reinstatement, as provided in <br />Section 9-143 of the Civil Service Rules and Regulations, does not constitute a break <br />in service, and the period of absence on such military leave shall be applied toward <br />the accumulation of longevity vacation. <br /> <br />18 <br /> <br /> <br />
