Benchmark Technical Specialties <br />I Applications & Development Services Category <br /> <br />Web Developer <br /> <br />Duties <br /> <br />Education/Certification <br /> <br />Work Experience/Skills/Knowledge/Abilities <br /> <br />Other <br /> <br />· Reports to the Web team lead. <br />· Develop and implement a wide variety of Web sites to <br /> meet Web needs for the City. <br />· Consults with Web Steering Committee, Webmaster, and <br /> Web team lead to evaluate and define project <br /> requirements and to assure quality control. <br /> <br />· Formal course work in Web development, MS SQL <br /> <br />· Server and Web design preferred. <br /> <br />· Minimum 3 years working experience as a Web <br /> developer in a medium to larger Web production <br /> environment. <br />· Demonstrated ability in developing for the Web, <br /> specifically HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript. <br />· Development experience with Uacromedia <br /> Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and Adobe Photoshop. <br />· Must be comfortable working with HTML source code <br /> including but not limited to tables, layers and frames. <br />· Ability to create and edit HTML documents, image maps, <br /> format text using HTML tags and style sheets, <br /> insert/modify all supported object types within the <br /> Dreamweaver environment. <br />· Experience with templates and library elements to build <br /> and update Web sites, including file creation, <br /> defining/modifying editable regions, and understanding of <br /> root-relative and document-relative pathing. <br />· Knowledge of various Dreamweaver shortcuts such as <br /> history palette and command recording to automate <br /> repetitive tasks. <br />· Familiarity with general Web development issues such as <br /> browser/platform differences and incompatibilities. <br />· Ability to work under tight deadlines and budget <br /> constraints. Good interpersonal skills and ability to <br /> establish and maintain the Laboratory's and the Division's <br /> corporate image and identity. <br />· Experience with Macromedia Ultradev, Perl/CGI scripts <br /> and Web forms. <br /> <br />· Minimum 15 Net WPM. <br />· Must have a valid Class C Driver's license. <br />· Manual dexterity to manipulate electronic devices, <br /> computers and keyboards. <br />· Ability to read printed documentation/computer screens. <br />· May have to undergo background investigation by Santa <br /> Aha Police Department <br /> <br />November 2001 33 <br /> <br /> <br />
