Identity and fix <br /> operational problems. <br />· Configure UNIX environment and directory structure <br /> for an Oracle database and development tools. <br />· Use Oracle development tools to create new <br /> applications and for add-on modules to purchased <br /> Oracle applications. <br /> <br />Formal course work in Oracle preferred. <br /> <br />· Minimum 4 years hands-on RDMS work including 3 <br /> years with Oracle database and tools. <br />· Experience with Oracle var. 7.x/8.x a must. <br />· Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise/2000, Oracle <br /> SQL*DBA, Oracle Workgroup/2000, Developer/2000, <br /> Designer/2000, Oracle SQL*Net needed. <br />· Must have ability to develop scripts and perform <br /> general system maintenance tasks. <br />· Experience in Oracle performance tuning. <br />· Knowledge of data base management theory and <br /> practice essential. <br /> <br />· Minimum 15 Net WPM. <br />· Must have a valid Class C Driver's license, <br />· Manual dexterity to manipulate electronic devices, <br /> computers and keyboards. <br />· Ability to read printed documentation and computer <br /> screens. <br />· Ability to recognize and respond to alarm sounds and <br /> equipment generated signals. <br />· May have to undergo background investigation by <br /> Santa Ana Police Department. <br /> <br />November 2001 35 <br /> <br /> <br />
