1.3 Services Being Sought <br /> <br />The City seeks Vendors to provide temporary contract service persons with specific technical <br />skills to perform assignments of varying length. <br /> <br />In response to requests from the various City Departments, the Vendors shall: <br /> <br /> · Research their roster of employees for potential candidates. <br /> <br /> · Screen available candidates in order to match technical skills and work experience <br /> with requirements of the City job assignments. <br /> <br /> · Confirm candidate qualificationsincluding: technical skills, experience, work habits, <br /> interpersonal skills, quality of work performed, etc. <br /> <br /> · Establish candidate availability with respect to the schedule of the City assignments. <br /> <br /> · Provide the City Departments with resumes of screened qualified candidates <br /> (identifying skills, work experience, and education) and their charge (i.e. bill) rates. <br /> <br />Vendors will be responsible for all payments and benefits for contract service persons placed <br />on assignments with the City, including: payroll, taxes, other withholding, vacation, other <br />benefits, etc. (See Section 5.15) <br /> <br />Vendors will be responsible for the conduct of any temporary contract service persons placed <br />with the City. If, at the sole discretion of the City, a temporary contract service person is <br />determined to be unsatisfactory for any reason, the Vendor will withdraw the individual upon <br />notification by the City. The City will not be charged for the period of unsatisfactory service. <br /> <br />Vendors will be required to monitor the performance of their contract service persons on a <br />pedodic basis during the duration of their contract service with the City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />There is no guarantee as to the number of times a Vendor will be used or the dollar amount that <br />will be expended with them. It is expected that up to $2,000,000 for all services may be <br />expended during a fiscal year. (See Section 5.6) <br /> <br />1.4 Description Of Technical Positions To Be Provided <br /> <br />The skills and services needed will be in the fields of: <br /> Application & Development Services <br /> · Business/Application/Project Consulting <br /> · Telecommunications Services <br /> · Computer & Networking Services <br /> <br />Specific abilities required will vary between the operations and projects involved. Detailed <br />identification of knowledge, skills, abilities, experience and education will be provided for each <br />temporary assignment. <br /> <br />Table 1.4.1 shows the four (4) categories of possible industry standard technical positions for <br />which the City may seek Vendors to provide temporary contract service persons.
