0 0 1.3 Services Being Sought The City seeks Vendors to provide temporary contract service persons with specific technical skills to perform assignments of varying length. In response to requests from the various City Departments, the Vendors shall: • Research their roster of employees for potential candidates. • Screen available candidates in order to match technical skills and work experience with requirements of the City job assignments. • Confirm candidate qualifications including: technical skills, experience, work habits, interpersonal skills, quality of work performed, etc. • Establish candidate availability with respect to the schedule of the City assignments. • Provide the City Departments with resumes of screened qualified candidates (identifying skills, work experience, and education) and their charge (i.e. bill) rates. Vendors will be responsible for all payments and benefits for contract service persons placed on assignments with the City, including: payroll, taxes, other withholding, vacation, other benefits, etc. (See Section 5.15) Vendors will be responsible for the conduct of any temporary contract service persons placed with the City. If, at the sole discretion of the City, a temporary contract service person is determined to be unsatisfactory for any reason, the Vendor will withdraw the individual upon notification by the City. The City will not be charged for the period of unsatisfactory service. Vendors will be required to monitor the performance of their contract service persons on a periodic basis during the duration of their contract service with the City of Santa Ana. There is no guarantee as to the number of times a Vendor will be used or the dollar amount that will be expended with them. It is expected that up to $2,000,000 for all services may be expended during a fiscal year. (See Section 5.6) 1.4 Description Of Technical Positions To Be Provided The skills and services needed will be in the fields of: • Application & Development Services • Business /Application /Project Consulting • Telecommunications Services • Computer & Networking Services Specific abilities required will vary between the operations and projects involved. Detailed identification of knowledge, skills, abilities, experience and education will be provided for each temporary assignment. Table 1.4.1 shows the four (4) categories of possible industry standard technical positions for which the City may seek Vendors to provide temporary contract service persons. Under each November 2001
