<br />Michael Metzler <br /> <br />Michael Metzler is the President & CbicfExecutive Officer of the Santa Ana Chamber of <br />Commerce since JanuaIy, 1983. During Metzler's leadership of the chamber, the <br />mission, objectives and accomplishments have expanded the scope ofits programs and <br />~ervices to the community by 733%, averaging 43.1% growth per annum. <br /> <br />During his tCllUIt: a,; CEO, he created the chamber's political action committee <br />. (SACP AC) which endorsed and sllpported etections ofthecwrent Mayor and S of the 6 <br />members of the City Council. Additionally, he led 2 efforts that successfully defeated <br />anti-business initiatives in the city. He serves as SACPAC's Executive Director, <br /> <br />Among his responsibilities as the chamber CEO,he serves as the organization's ehief <br />strategist and led the creation ora $2.4 million marketing aild growth campaign which <br />haS expanded the pcrfOIIn8IlCe of the chamber. Among the many program components of . <br />this càmpaign, he founded the chamber's 45,000 circulation newspaper, Ci!yLine. which <br />received a top national award in its first year of production. He serves as its publisher. <br /> <br />Metzler has served on numerous eommunity boaIds, city commissions and county, <br />rc:gional and state task forces, and currently serves as the Chainnan of the Board of <br />Directors and Executive Committee of the Santa Ana Workforce investment Board, <br />Board ofDirecton of Santa Ana 2020, PEW ColIllJlunity Leadership Program, Santa Ana <br />Empowerment CoIporation, Orange County Tourism Council, Orange County <br />International Trade Council and Coastal Communities Hospital Additionally, he serves <br />as the Chairman ofCa1üolDÏa State Senator JoscphDunn's BUsiness Advisory <br />Committee. <br /> <br />Prior to taking on the duties with the Santa Ana Chamber of CommCICc, he held the <br />positions of CEO of Cbildrm's Institute International, Catholic Big Brothcrs, Metzler, <br />McCue and Associates and the College Legal Clinic. <br /> <br />He resides in Santa Ana with his we, Stephanie and is the father of three daughters. <br />He is a gxaduate of Califomia State University at Fullerton and attended Loyola <br />UnivcrsÏty School of Law.
