Hondo Company Inc. <br />2. Sequel Contractors <br /> <br />Santa Ana <br />Santa Fe Springs <br /> <br />A total of three bids were received and' two were responsive. MJ <br />Contractor submitted a bid in an amount of $203,410. Two days after the <br />bid opening, MJ Contractor requested to be relieved of the bid, stating <br />that they had made a clerical error in filling out the bid. After <br />examining MJ Contractor's bidding documents, staff has found sufficient <br />grounds for the relief and therefore recommends that MJ Contractor's <br />request be granted. The lowest responsible bid was submitted by Hondo <br />Company Inc., for $284,426, which is above the Engineer's estimate of <br />$205,363. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br /> <br />Environmental Review ER 2000-102 has been performed and Categorical <br />Exemption has been filed for this project pursuant to the California <br />Environmental Quality Act. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br /> <br />The Funding analysis shows a total estimated construction cost of <br />$355,500 for the project (Exhibit 2). The funds are available in the <br />Land and Water Conservation Grant Fund (account no. 156-247-6631) and the <br />Capital Outlay Fund (account nos. 51-250-6631 and 51-271-6631). <br /> <br />. ~;j~ <br /> <br />9~G.
