<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004-014 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA TO AMEND RESOLUTION NO. 91-066 TO <br />EFFECT CERTAIN CHANGES TO THE CITY'S BASIC <br />CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN FOR <br />EXECUTIVE AND MIDDLE MANAGEMENT, AND TO <br />AMEND THE ANNUAL BUDGET TO REALLOCATE ONE <br />POSITION. . <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br /> <br />A <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana <br />requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position <br />classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations <br />and the approval of the City Council. <br /> <br />On July 1, 1991, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 91- <br />066, re-establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for <br />classes of employment designated as unrepresented Executive <br />Management (EM) and Middle Management (MM). <br /> <br />C. <br /> <br />On June 16, 2003, the City Council passed and adopted Ordinance No. <br />NS-2632, which establishes the City's Annual Budget, authorizing position <br />allocations for Fiscal Year 2003-2004, and which sets forth the <br />requirement that alterations in the allocation of authorized positions be <br />reviewed and approved by the City Council. <br /> <br />D. <br /> <br />The City Manager proposes to establish one (1) new unrepresented <br />executive management classification title, delete one (1) unrepresented <br />executive management classification titles and to reallocate one (1) <br />position in the current Annual Budget. <br /> <br />It is now desired to amend Council Resolution No. 91-066, as amended, <br />and the Fiscal Year 2003-2004 Budget, as amended, in order to effect <br />these changes. <br /> <br />E. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA: <br /> <br />Section 2: That Section 3A of Resolution No. 91-066, as amended, is hereby <br />further amended by: <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2004- <br />Page 1 of3 <br /> <br />50A-6 <br />
