<br />Resolutions Approving the Preliminary <br />. Report and Receive and File the Proposed <br />plan Amendments for the Merger of the <br />, Santa Ana Redevelopment Projects <br />March 15, 2004 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />(Exhibit 2) and proposed amendments will be provided. The next step in <br />the CEQA process is the issuance of a Notice of Intent to adopt a <br />Negative Declaration, which will be provided to the public and the <br />apP:t'opriate public agencies. <br /> <br />Under specific circumstances, the Community Redevelopment Law also <br />requires that a project area committee be formed. The proposed <br />amendments are a plan merge:t' for economic :t'easons only and will not <br />grant additional eminent domain authority. or add territory to the <br />project areas. Therefore. a project area committee need not be formed <br />in connection with the proposed amendments. <br /> <br />Final :t'eview and adoption of the proposed plan amendments <br />envi:t'onmental documents will be conside:t'ed for approval by the <br />Council and Agency after a public hea:t'ing is held on the proposed <br />amendments in the summer of 2004. <br /> <br />.
