<br />5.2 <br /> <br />5.3 <br /> <br />F. <br /> <br />G. <br /> <br />H. <br /> <br />of straight time per day of standby duty. <br /> <br />An employee who is continuously and regularly assigned as <br />a Training Officer assigned to Field Operations or the <br />Detention facility will be paid at a rate set five (5) <br />salary rate ranges (approximately 2.5%) above his or her <br />then current base monthly salary step. <br /> <br />An employee who is continuously and regularly assigned as <br />an Internal Affairs Officer will be paid at a rate set <br />five (5) salary rate ranges (approximately 2.5%) above <br />his or her then current base monthly salary step. <br /> <br />Effective July 1, 2003, an employee who is continuously <br />and regularly assigned to perform training functions as <br />a Parking Control Officer will be paid at a rate set five <br />(5) salary rate ranges (approximately 2.5%) above his or <br />her then current base monthly salary step. <br /> <br />Shift Differential. Non-Sworn Personnel. Each employee in the <br />classes of Animal Service Officer I, Animal Service Officer <br />II, Forensic Specialist I, Crime Research Analyst, Forensic <br />Specialist II, Police Communications Supervisor, Police <br />Investigative Specialist, Police Property & Evidence <br />Specialist, Police Service Officer, Police Evidence and Supply <br />Specialist, Police Services Dispatcher, Communications <br />Services Officer, Detention Officer, and Detention Supervisor, <br />and Parking Control Officer who is continuously and regularly <br />assigned to a schedule of work which requires that he or she <br />actually work a minimum of four and one-half (4 1/2) hours <br />between the hours of 5:00 P.M. and 7:00 A.M. will be paid a <br />shift differential at a rate set ten (10) salary rate ranges <br />(5.0%) above his or her then current base monthly salary step. <br /> <br />BilinGual Pav. Qualified employees who meet the following <br />criteria will be paid a monthly pay differential, above his or <br />her base monthly salary step, as follows: <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />Assignment by the Police Chief or his designee to a <br />position requiring bilingual capability in both English <br />and one of the following languages: Spanish, Samoan, <br />Vietnamese, Cambodian, Korean, Hmong or other language <br />designated by the City Manager; and <br /> <br />Certified by the chief personnel officer as having <br />satisfactorily demonstrated the required level of fluency <br />in both languages. <br /> <br />15 <br />
