The cross-gabled roof, <br />stucco finish, rounded arched openings and decorative patterned <br />muntin windows illustrate this typical 1920 and 1930 revival <br />style. The <br />Forgy House is a relatively rare example of Monterey Revival <br />period architecture in Santa Ana. The Monterey Revival style <br />combines the Spanish Colonial and American Colonial design <br />elements illustrated by the upper balcony with its wrought iron <br />railing and roof overhang supported by wooden posts and angled <br />brackets. Other stylistic details are the multi-light double- <br />hung windows, shutters and the brick and stucco exterior <br />materials. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />2104 North Santiago Street, Tidball House. The Tidball House, <br />built in 1923, qualifies for listing on the Santa Ana Register of <br />Historical Properties for its representation of the <br />distinguishing characteristics of the late Craftsman style. <br />Additionally, the structure is eligible to be categorized as <br />Contributive as it contributes to the overall character and <br />history of the Park Santiago Neighborhood and is a good example <br />of the Craftsman bungalow period architecture. The typical <br />Craftsman style elements are the broad front gable roof with <br />overhanging eaves, exposed rafters and tripartite windows <br />flanking the central entry.
