<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN STANDARDS <br /> <br />All buildings within the Santa Ana Auto Mall shall be designed in a 'high-tech' <br />industrial design. The Santa Ana Auto Mall's Architectural Design Standards shall <br />be used to determine the structures compliance with the 'high-tech' industrial motif. <br />The use of exposed wood, tile roofs and mansards, and literal traditional <br />architectural motifs shall not be permitted. In addition, the Auto Mall Dealers <br />Association shall review and approve the architectural design for all new buildings <br />and remodels. <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />+Ae Service buildings, shall be <br />designed to incorporate, on at least a portion of the exterior building, the <br />same materials and colors as those used for the showroom. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />The public areas and service buildings must be compatible in style <br />and material selection. <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Horizontalitv: <br /> <br />The expression of horizontality in each building is of prime importance for the <br />unification of the Mall. To achieve this purpose, the use of continuous horizontal <br />elements shall be required. <br /> <br />a. <br /> <br />Twelve-inch high horizontal metal reveals (one and one-half <br />inches minimum depth) is encouraged to be used for banding <br />and cladding terminations. <br /> <br />b. <br /> <br />Continuous, light-emitting strip windows are encouraged to be <br />incorporated into the non-showroom, general office service <br />area.
