Curtis & Sons <br /> <br />$6,664.34 <br />$2,372.66 <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />On September 18, 2000 the City of Santa Ana entered into an 18-month <br />agreement with the United States Department of Health and Human Services to <br />develop a Metropolitan Medical Response System (MMRS). The MMRS included <br />the coordination of multiple health and first-responder agencies throughout <br />the county in the development of an all-inclusive response and mitigation <br />plan, as well as the identification of training requirements for the MMRS. <br />The MMRS will be a principal resource in responding to the health and <br />medical consequences of large-scale incidents involving weapons of mass <br />destruction. <br /> <br />The equipment list identified under the MMRS plan includes hazardous <br />material equipment. Equipment purchases include adapters and cartridges <br />for use with the Scott breathing apparatuses, basic rescue systems, and <br />rescue systems designed for use in contaminated areas. <br /> <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on <br />and bids were solicited.
