Chapman Engineering is <br />a manufactwing company that specializes in the production of metal parts for various <br />uses, including parts used in the automobile industry. Mr. Chapman relocated his <br />company to Santa Ana fi-om Inglewood in 1974. He currently has between 40 and 50 <br />employees, many of whom have been with the company since it moved to Santa Ana. <br /> <br />Mr. Chapman has over 30 years of experience in tl1e manufacturing sector; therefore, he <br />has extensive knowledge of the industry, and also of the current issues affecting <br />businesses in California. He is also very familiar with many businesses in Santa Ana <br />since 40% of his customers are fi-om the local area. <br /> <br />Mr. Chapman takes pride in the quality of work produced by his employees, and has <br />always been proactive in acquiring the latest manufacturing technology to keep his <br />company al1ead. He believes in rewarding employees for their contribution to the <br />business. As a result, employees are Chapman are paid competitive wages, and are <br />treated like fanrily. <br /> <br />Mr. Chapman is very interested in joining the Santa Ana Workforce Investment Board. <br />He feels that by serving on the board he can give back to the co=m1Íty, and to the city <br />, that has been the home to his business for almost 30 years.
