Asked the Chief of Police to report on an recent event in Santa Ana in <br />which a Hollywood crew staged stunts for a video which will be used to <br />depict the dangers of driving while under the influence (DUI); the Chief <br />noted that this video will be shown in the school districts and should be <br />available for distribution in the summer. <br />. Noted that there is a new photography exhibit at the Bowers Museum <br />entitled "Bridges to Understanding" and announced that this exhibit will <br />be at the Bowers until October 24, 2004 <br />. Announced that Thursday May 6, 2004 is National Day of Prayer <br />. Asked the City Council to adjourn in memory of J. Wesley Fletcher, <br />father of the City Attorney, Joseph Fletcher <br />. Announced that Tillamook Cheese Company is sponsoring a cleanup at <br />Jerome Park on May 22, 2004 at 8:30 a.m. and invited residents to <br />volunteer <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Council member Solorio <br />. Thanked staff for all their efforts in coordinating the Community <br />Development Block Grant 2004-2005 program <br />. Noted that there seems to be an increase in cruising on Bristol Street <br />since Easter and asked the Police Chief to investigate this situation <br />. Asked the City Manager to report on the timeline for the One Broadway <br />Plaza project. The City Manager reported that the matter will be before <br />the Planning Commission on May 10, 2004 and if approved will be <br />before the City Council on May 17, 2004 <br /> <br />Council member Bist <br />. Congratulated Councilmember Alvarez on her nomination as a "Woman <br />of Vision" by the We Give Thanks organization <br />. Noted that the Floral Park home tour held in April was very successful <br />and added that the Wilshire Square home tour will be held on June 26, <br />27,2004 <br />. Asked staff to investigate whether the City is eligible for refunds as a <br />result of a recent claim that Microsoft has been overcharging customers <br />fa r softwa re prod u cts <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Council member Alvarez <br />.
