Mark, north side of Fifth, east of Harbor, <br />park purposes; <br /> <br />County of Orange, Santa Ana Boulevard, Lincoln to East <br />Washington, street purposes. <br /> <br />The motion was adopted on the following roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Herrin, Evans, Patterson, Villa, Yamamoto, Griset <br />Markel <br />None <br /> <br />MAYORS' CONFERENCE On motion of Councilman Patterson, <br /> seconded by Councilman Herrin <br /> and unanimously carried, permission <br />was granted for any Councilman who wished to attend the United States <br />Conference of Mayors in Denver June 13 through June 17, 1970, and Councilman <br />Villa was authorized to attend the Conference on Intergovernmental Relations <br />and Manpower in Denver on June 12, 1970, at City expense. <br /> <br />MANAGER'S ABSENCE On motion of Councilman Patterson, <br /> seconded by Councilman Herrin and <br /> unanimously carried, the City Manager <br />was granted permission to be out of the City for three weeks during the month <br />of June. <br /> <br />RECESS At 5:30 P. M., the meeting was <br /> recessed to 7:30 P. M., at which <br /> time it was reconvened with all <br />Councilmen present. Following the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, the <br />Invocation was delivered by Mayor Griset. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING - APPEAL 234 Mayor Griset announced that the <br />VA 70-20 PLEASANT CARE applicant for Appeal No. 234, <br /> Pleasant Care, appealing Planning <br />Commissions's decision on April 27, 1970, denying VA 70-20, filed by <br />Pleasant Care, to construct a 58-bed facility for mentally retarded children <br />in the LP District at 1604 E. 4th Street, has requested that the appeal be with- <br />drawn. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Herrin, seconded by Councilman Evans and unanimously <br />carried, the withdrawal of Appeal No. 234 was granted. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING Hearing was opened on Amendment <br />AMENDMENT APPLICATION-658 Application No. 658, filed by John <br />ADAMS, GATES C. Adams and S.N. Gates, proposing <br /> amendment of Sectional District Map <br />20-5-9, to prezone from the County M 1 District to the City M 1 District a <br />triangularly-shaped parcel located north of Warner Avenue between Lyon Street <br />and the Newport Freeway.
