PUBLIC HEARING Director of Public Works Ronald <br />STREET VACATION Wolfor~l reported that staff <br />GRAND AND GROVEMONT recornrnends adoption of Resolution <br /> 71-25 ordering the vacation of a <br />portion of Grand Avenue south of Grovemont Street inasmuch as this portion <br />of Grand Avenue is unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes. <br /> <br />The Mayor opened the public hearing. There were no proponents or opponents <br />in this matter, and the Clerk reported no written communications had been <br />received. The Mayor declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 71-25 ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF GRAND <br />AVENUE, SOUTH OF GROVE-Ik4ONT STREET, was adopted, on motion of <br />Councilman Evans, seconded by Councilman Herrin, on the following roll <br />call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Herrin, Evans, Markel, Villa, Yamamoto, Grlset <br />None <br />Patterson <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING Director of Planning Herbert <br />AMENDMENT APPLICATION Wieland reported that the property <br />NO. 680 involved in this request to rezone <br /> is on the north side of Sunflower , <br />just west of The Treasu~ry. Staff and Planning Commission recommend <br />approval. <br /> <br />The Mayor opened the public hearing. There were no proponents or opponents <br />in this matter, and the Clerk reported no written communications had been <br />received. The Mayor declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br />Amendment Application #680, filed by Harold T. Segerstrom and Howard Bear, <br />proposing to rezone apl)roximately 15.8 acres of land at the northeast corner <br />of Bear (Raitt) Street and Sunflower Avenue from the R 1 District to the CR <br />(Commercial Residential) District was approved, on motion of Councilman <br />Herrin, seconded by Councilman Villa, and carried on the following roll call <br />vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Herrin, Evans, Markel, <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Patterson <br /> <br />Villa, <br /> <br />Yam~amoto, Griset <br /> <br />FINAL MAP, TRACT #7356 It was moved by Councilman Evans, <br />LIFETIME HOMES seconded by Councilman Herrin and <br /> unanimously carried~ to approve <br />Final Map~ Tract #7356, accept the dedications thereon~ and authorize execution <br />by the Mayor and Clerk of the Subdivision Agreement and bonds. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL -96- March 15, 1971 <br /> <br /> <br />
