AGREEMENT <br />GANAHL & GANAHL <br />LEGAL SERVICES <br /> <br />No. 225, Santa Ana Gardens area, <br />Mayor and Clerk authorized, on motion of Councilman Patterson, <br />by Councilman Villa, and unanimously carried. <br /> <br /> Agreement between the City of <br /> Santa Aha and Ganahl & Ganahl <br /> for 1911 Assessment Act Legal <br /> Services for Assessment District <br />was approved, and its execution by the <br /> seconded <br /> <br />AGREEMENT ',Agreement between the City of <br />STATE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE Santa Ana and the State Department <br />POPULATION ESTIMATE of Finance for the annual population <br /> estimate for the City of Santa Ana, <br />was approved and its execution by the Mayor and Clerk authorized, on motion <br />of Councilman Evans, seconded by Councilman Markel, and unanimously <br />carried. <br /> <br />AGREEMENT Agreement between the City of <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE Santa Aha and the County of Orange <br />PROSECUTION SERVICES providing for prosecution services <br /> by the County of Orange in conjunction <br />with minor misdemeanors, was approved, and its exeuution by the Mayor and <br />Clerk authorized, on motion of Councilman Patterson, seconded by Councilman <br />Villa, and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />Prior to approval, Mr. Withers stated that this Agreement will relieve his office <br />of much of the routine work; that the District Attorney's office will handle these <br />minor actions for $20.00 each; that the proposed contract may be terminated on <br />30 days' notice by either party, and the City Attorney's Office retains the right <br />to prosecute any matters on which it wishes to keep close control. <br /> <br />SUPREME COURT PETITION In response to his request, Council <br /> authorized the Acting City Attorney <br /> to file a petition in the Supreme Court <br />and to expend the necessary funds to do so, on motion of Councilman Yamamoto, <br />seconded by Councilman Villa, on the following roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Herrin, Evans, Markel, Villa, Yamamoto, Griset <br />Patterson <br />None <br /> <br />The petition to be filed will contest the preliminary ruling of a local federal <br />district court that would require the return of items taken as evidence in <br />conjunction with the enforcement of ordinances regulating "adult" movie houses, <br />book stores and bstablishments that serve liquor. <br /> <br />RECESS <br /> <br />members present. <br /> <br />At 4:45 P.M. ~ a five-minute recess <br />was declared. The Council reconvened <br />at 4:55 P.M., with all Council <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL -91- March 15, 1971 <br /> <br /> <br />
