HUMAN RELATIONS A motion by Councilman <br />COMMISSION Evans, seconded by Councilman <br /> Markel to delete from the <br />budget the entire appropriation for the Human Relations Commission <br />failed on the following roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />A BSE NT: <br /> <br />Evans, Markel, Herrin <br />Villa, Griset, Yamamoto, Patterson <br />None <br /> <br />MANPOWER PROJECT COORDINATOR Councilman Villa suggested <br /> that the position of Manpower <br /> Project Coordinator should <br /> be directly responsible to the City Manager instead of the Community <br /> Relations officer. The City Manager stated that he would provide the <br /> Council a report of the pros and cons of the suggestion as soon as <br /> possible. <br /> <br />The Council continued its review and discussion of the Budget through <br />page 15. <br /> <br />RECESS At 10:15 P.M., the Council <br /> recessed to an Executive <br /> Session for discussion of <br />pending legal matters, on motion of Councilman Patterson, seconded <br />by Councilman Herrin and unanimously carried. Council reconvened <br />at 11:00 P.M. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT At lh05 P.M., the meeting <br /> was adjourned to Thursday, <br /> Julyl, 1971, at 7:30 P.M., <br />in the Mayor's office, at City Hall, 217 North Main Street. <br /> <br />Florence I.
