MANPOWER COMMISSION In response to a request for <br /> clarification by Councilman <br /> Villa, the Mayor stated that <br />Councilman Villa is his representative to the Manpower Commission. <br /> <br />POOL TABLE APPLICATION Mr. Robert B. Harrington <br /> submitted a letter to the <br /> Council requesting permission <br />to install two coin-operated pool tables in his establishment localed <br />at 1411 East 1st Street. He stated that he was not aware of the <br />requirement to submit the request in writing to the Council; that he <br />expects to receive his Alcoholic Beverage License within a week and <br />if he must wait until the next regular Council meeting it will delay <br />the opening of his restaurant; thai there will be no topless or bottom- <br />less entertainment; and that he was requesting a temporary permit <br />until he could bring the matter before the Council on July 19th. <br /> <br />Councilman Patterson's motion, seconded by Councilman Herrin, <br />to approve a temporary permit to operate pool tables at 1411 E~ <br />1st Street, failed to carry on the following roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Patterson, Herrin, Markel <br />Villa, Evans, Griset, Yamamoto <br />None <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT At 1:00 A.M., the Mayor <br /> declared the meeting adjourned <br /> to Wednesday, July 7, 1971, <br />at 4:00 P~ M., in the Mayor's Office, City Hall, 217 N.
