AGREEMENT Agreement between the City of <br />ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY Santa Arm and the Archdiocese of <br /> Los Angeles for the purchase of <br />real property located at Third and North Jackson Streets for the purpose of <br />providing a recreation park, was approved and its execution by the Mayor <br />and Clerk was authorized, on motion of Councilman Herrin, seconded by <br />Councilman Evans, affd unanimously carried. <br /> <br />AGREEMENT Agreement between the City of <br />ROADWAY IMPROVEMENT, Santa Arm and County of Orange <br />FAIRVIEW STREET for roadway improvements on <br /> Fairview Street from t70' to <br />570' north of Huckleberry Road, was approved and its execution by the <br />Mayor and Clerk was authorized, on motion of Councilman Villa, seconded <br />by Councilman Yamamoto, and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />Councilman Patterson arrived at 2:15 P.M. <br /> <br />AGREEMENT On motion of Councilman Yamamoto, <br />PEDESTRIAN OVERPASS seconded by Councilman Markel, <br /> and unanimously carried, Council <br />referred to the Planning Commission the request for encroachment agreement <br />between the City of Santa Ana and the Sa~dleback Inn for a p~destrlan overpass <br />on First Street batween Lyon and Mabury Street. <br /> <br />Mr. William Swank, Archite~t, Orange, California, was present and wished <br />to speak on this matter. Councilman Herrin's motion, seconded by Council- <br />man Evans, to reconsider the matter, was unanimously carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Swank stated he was under the impression the Planning Commission had <br />considered the encroachment agreement an~l that it was now necessary to <br />bring it before the Council for approval. <br /> <br />The City Manager stated that this agreement was nbted by tke Planning <br />Commission~ but they do not normally approve such agreements. The City <br />Attorney stated that the City Council must approve the plans before the <br />building permit can be issued.
