EXECUTIVE SESSION At 2:25 P.M., Council adjourned <br /> to an Executive Session to <br /> consider legal matters. The <br />meeting reconvened at 3:50 P.M., with all Council members present. <br /> <br />The Mayor reported that in the Executive Session Council considered legal <br />matters pertaining to the Irvine matter, and inasmuch as these matters are <br />in litigation, it is not appropriate to discuss them in open session. <br /> <br />TRAFFIC The report of control devices <br /> removed or installed from <br /> July 27 through August 9, 1971, <br />inclusive, was received and ordered filed, on motion of Councilman Herrin, <br />seconded by Councilman Evans, and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE It was moved by Councilman <br />LICENSE APPLICATIONS Herrin, seconded by Councilman <br /> Evans, and carried on a 6 - 1 <br />vote, Councilman Yamamoto dissenting, to receive and file the following <br />Alcoholic Beverage License applications: <br /> <br />THE CLUBHOUSE, 2720 N. Main, On Sale Beer & Wine, <br /> Original <br />TWEEDS PUB, LTD., 1300 E. Edinger, Suite A, On Sale <br /> Beer, Original <br />VINCI PIZZA & SPAGHETTI HOUSE, 2323 W. Fairview Street, Off <br /> Sale General, Person Transfer. <br /> <br />SOLICITATION APPLICATIONS Mr. Ezequiel T. Moreno, <br /> 510 North English Street, <br /> outlined changes made in the <br />original application submitted by the Corette pro Mexico-Americano, On <br />motion of Councilman Villa, seconded by Councilman Yamarnoto, and <br />unanimously carried, Council approved solicitation application as indicated <br />below; instructed the Director of Parks to issue permit for exhibition dancing <br />and entertainment in park; and instructec~ Chief of Police to issue permit for <br />the public dance. <br /> <br />COMITE PRO MEXICO-AMERICANO, Mexican Independence <br />Day celebration; entertainment at Plaza of the Flags, 7:00 P.M. <br />to Midnight, 9/15; art exposition at Prentice Park, 10:00 A. M. <br />to 10:00 P.M., 9/16-9/18; public dancing, entertainment, at <br />Prentice Park, 4:30 P.M. to 9:00 P.M., 9/17 and 9/18.
